I hear you-Hypericum spreads like gossip at a family reunion. Digging out runners and roots becomes your new fitness routine, and even then, those darn stems resprout if you miss a finger-width segment. Mulch or landscape fabric barely slows it down. Some folks have luck with edging barriers sunk a good 8 inches deep, but even then, it’s persistent. If you do want to keep some, maybe corral it in large pots or raised beds with solid bottoms. Honestly, sometimes I just lean into the chaos and use it where nothing else will grow-dry slopes, tough corners, abandoned flower beds... But if you crack the code for full containment, I hope you’ll share it with the rest of us weary gardeners!
